PARADOX

Like autumn leaves in October
I'm barely hanging on
One zephyr and forever I will be gone
You look for new beginnings to dawn
On the dusk of an ending year
Fear of being afraid is still the biggest fear

I got lost in you, with you
As you came in with your perfect smirk
I never knew, time would lurk
We were like dawn, rising up and taking a leap
I hoped we weren't Icarus cause what we had I wanted to keep
No our love wasn't superficial, like the ocean it was deep

Falling in love is still a fall
But I'm known for falling hard
Now in your court is the ball
You need to decide and take the call
You decided to leave me feeling hiraeth
What I felt for you was ethereal
Now I don't even know what to feel

I thought you'd being waiting
On the edge of those rocks
But I guess our relation
Was more of a paradox
I slowly got inure
Because you made me feel like
Toxicity is nothing from someone worth your life

I used think, this is it
When you used to adore my shining locks
And when for Christmas, together we hung socks
And when we went for walks, we talked and talked
Went on for ten blocks
But I guess our relation




Was more of a paradox
I don't think we could've helped it
It was a paradox

After months of lassitude
I'm washed away by the rain
A scintilla of sadness, doesn't remain
All that is there is petrichor
All of those bad memories and thoughts
Finally are gone, I don't remember
