EQUALITY
I'll be me
And you be youLet's make a new rule
"Mind your own business
And love yourself"
Let's treat people with kindness
Not say rude stuff on their face
Not tell them how to dress
Cause it's their choice
So you don't really have to use your voice
Unless you're singing
So don't cause chaos or make noise
What's the big deal with boys
Who love to dress up
And want dolls as toys
They're as normal
As the other boys
What's the big deal with girls
Who don't wanna have kids
But wanna love other girls
Set a standard in which every human fits
What's the big deal with queers
There's no gender in what one wears
They've got equal shares
Of all the rights
But all they get are fears
Why discriminate between white and black
They're just colours and that's a fact
White people wanna be tanned
And the black ones wanna be fair
Beauty is subjective
But being yourself is damn attractive
If you can hate without reason
You should be able to love with one
Why should queers have to come out
Look what people have done
They made it default, to be hetero
And if you're not, you're the odd one
Why should black people have to fight
To get their rights
Why should all the privileges belong to the whites
Why choose the dark side
When you can choose light?
Let's talk about body shaming
Do you think that's cool?
Why does it matter if someone is thick or thin
Stop judging people, stop being a fool
There are so many things I could talk about
So many faults in this society
That could be pointed out
But they can't be put down in one poem
So just keep shut and don't dare shout
If you can't but be judge
mental
Try to be understanding and gentle
So I'll be me
And you be you
Let's make a new rule
"Mind your own business
And love yourself"
